a seating object, is one of my end results of this semester. this object can be interpreted as a coffee table, or at least a chair with a closely attached side table. it felt great to see the evolution of this piece - adjusting scale, proportions and most importantly making sure that every corner and edge felt like a coherent factor - it also feels more comfortable to sit in than anybody expected. at last, my favorite aspect is the details and intersections of the lines, corners and surface s.

this project is this plaster mold made by first using a multiple axis cnc machine to make the negative to this one. when casting clay or porcelain, the mold should bring us a conical lampshade with a slit right through the middle - to be used as a way to put the shade over any bare and unshaded hanging lightbulb. although the mold did work and the casts were without problem extracted from it, there occurred an unexpected reaction to the porcelain shades in the kiln they were fired in, because of my ill knowledge about porcelain. i will however spend some time this summer to try and make some lampshades out of clay, and maybe try to get a better understanding of the baking process of porcelain.
a handfolded sheet metal candle holder, designed for practicality and style. this sturdy holder features a slight tilt, holding candles at a subtle angle of 6.3 degrees for a unique aesthetic. it's versatile, able to stand on any surface or hang securely on a wall. with its sleek design and functional appeal, it's a perfect addition to any space, effortlessly adding ambiance to the room while the candle wax drips slowly along the slanted surface.

a render where the building itself is an existing building - casa das canoas by oscar niemeyer - the blank file we got for showing our render capabilities by - of course - choosing the materialisation but also adjusting lighting and adding furniture and light objects.
